Cathy's Canines (IACP Certified) was created out of many requests by friends and families that I spend my time training dogs full time. I have always been the go-to for dogs that just need a little time and guidance to create a well behaved dog. I have had dogs all my life, as well as horses, raised alpacas, and worked at small and large animal vets. I am now excited to be able to share that knowledge and experience with everyone. My gentle techniques (no e-collars) using body language and a slip leash, help you achieve a balanced dog and be the Pack Leader!. I train with respect and trust, not fear and dominance. I teach you how to use those tools to have a dog with manners and just good old common courtesy, something we like in our human friends as well. The most important thing I can teach you is how to read what state of mind your dog is in, and how to get your dog back to calm. My goal is to get you feeling confident in assessing your dog's state of mind and have the knowledge and/or effective tools for asking your dog to return to that calm state of mind which creates a happy dog and a happy home.
